  • Attorneys--What Do They Do?
    Lawyers are individuals who have successfully trained in legal matters; American legal representatives are often referred to as advocates or attorneys. As advocates, lawyers can represent one of the parties in criminal and civil trials by presenting evidence and arguing in court to support their client; although they all can represent their clients in court this is a very rare situation. When acting as a legal advisor, their responsibility is to provide legal guidance; this is usually when client requires guidance and possible courses of action.
