Will Free Alternative Energy Save Us?

Many scientist claim Free Energy is just a worthless theory and a waste of time.

This energy has been nick named free energy. The questions are many, does it really exist or not, would the cost of capturing it be excessive, is it truly abundant and efficient. The proponents of Free Energy would have you think so.

Although the idea of Free Energy may bring up an image of the perpetual motion machine in your mind, this is quite different. For some researches it has to do with the collection device needed to capture the energy. While for others it refers to the means of transmitting the energy source.

I don't think even the most optimistic inventors believe in a machine that once turned on and never needing additional energy is possible.

Just thinking back on the Wright Brothers flight or the realization of Atomic power in the 1940s reveals often the impossible becomes possible. With todays vast technological advances any thing seems plausible.

So what is Free Energy. One definition is the energy can be found in vast amounts from the Zero Point Field. This is a quantum mechanical state of matter that is at it's lowest possible state of energy.

As far back as 1913 two scientist, Otto Stern and Albert Einstein discovered this energy and called it residual energy. Even at that time they felt it would be usable as an alternative energy.

In quantum mechanics vacuum energy represents Free Energy. It is said to be the energy field found in totally empty space. Trying to describe it one proponent said it resembles the froth created by a waterfall hitting the bottom.

The concept is certainly interesting. Although I think I will keep paying my electric bill for now. Whether it is real or not, I believe the research is a necessity in todays world situation. Anything we can do to reduce the environmental pollution is a plus.
