I was one of those nerdy guys who forgot to change his underwear. No, it's not what you think. I changed them daily, I simply forgot to change styles and brands long after the trends had run out. It was out of habit. Once a plain white stretch brief wearer, always one. Or so I thought. I didn't know I was about to lose my "underwear innocence" at age 50. A few years ago, I started dating a woman who was not known for her shyness. She explained to me that it was a fashion faux pas to wear white stretch underwear briefs and be an adult male at the same time. At first I thought she was joking. She asked me to remove them. I thought it was a ploy to "have her way with me". It was not. It was to take me shopping for fashionable intimate men's apparel. Damn. In the car on the way to the store all kinds of thoughts went through my head. I had not dated in awhile. Was this what dating was like now? The woman changes you from the toes up, starting at the lower-mid parts? We went to a department store and the next thing I knew we were checking out with all kinds of colorful bikini briefs, tight boxers, loose colorful boxers, and anything that looked and felt good. All I could think was, "But the public is not going to see these unless I decide one day to become a flasher", and that was not on my vitae or business plan. On the other hand, I often called her the thong queen. This woman loved thongs. I always felt her motto should have been "With a thong, you can't go wrong", but that was too obvious, so I said, "She has a thong in her heart." (I wrote that one down because I liked it. I will explain more later in this article. Going off the subject a second, allow me to explain that I am a cartoonist. I make my living by selling my licensed goods on such products as funny tees, mouse pads, aprons, hoodies, and other gifts and collectibles. My cartoon is titled Londons Times Cartoons. Experts tend to feel that adult males and females on the average think about sex a certain numbers of times per day, statistically, but I don't know the exact statistics. I know it is problematic for me not to at least consider it when thinking about or talking about a thong, especially when worn by an attractive female. Is that wrong? And I'm guessing the same thought may go through the average adult female when thinking about a nice looking guy dressed in attractive undergarments. Of course nobody, especially a male, wants to be laughed at when his underwear is noticed, especially by a female and even more especially by a female he plans to be his soulmate. So I decided, that since, to most of us, sex is fun, and one has to admit its a little funny, why not make it both with something fun and funny, so I started manufacturing my cartoons on thongs and men's boxers. Not only funny but sexy ones. My online shop, AThongInMyHeart.Com was launched last night and the feedback is tremendous, not to mention the orders coming in. There really are other people out there who think (somewhat) like I do! Harrrah. I was going to call it "A Boxer In My Heart" but for some reason I felt it would go over like "A Stint In My Heart". The offbeat cartoon thongs and boxers, to my knowledge, are the first of their kind on the market and the topics of the cartoons range from famous rock stars to dogs to love and romance. So this Valentine's day, I have no idea what I'm getting, but I know what I'm giving, and I know it's right to be thong. Or something like that.
