Ways To Lose Weight With The South Beach Lifestyle Weight Loss Plan

The South Beach diet plan is among the most popular ways to lose weight today. It is built around diet and lifestyle changes that help you lose weight naturally. By cutting "bad" fats and carbohydrates and having plenty of "good" ones, dieters can shed weight without sacrificing their health or feeling deprived.

There are three steps in the South Beach program. During phase one, dieters avoid all carbs except for vegetables. Although several foods are banned, dieters still have a wide range of foods they can consume. Phase one is the most difficult phase, but also the quickest since it only goes on for two weeks. Dieters can expect to lose 10 pounds during this time.

In the second phase, dieters begin incorporating the previously banned carbohydrate-rich foods into their meals. Dieters can expect to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week while steadily raising the amount of carbs they eat. The second phase lasts until dieters attain their goal weight.

The third phase is the maintenance phase. Dieters utilize their strategies they learned from the second phase to keep their goal weight throughout the rest of their lives. If dieters begin to regain weight, they may go back to phase one of the diet.

It is likely that you have seen ready-made South Beach meals and snacks in stores. These items are very convenient, but you don't need to spend money on them in order to follow the diet. You only need to commit to the various general guidelines for each phase of the program.

During the first phase of the diet, you are permitted to consume lean cuts of meat, such as fish, turkey, and chicken, eggs, nuts, most vegetables, and a limited amount of low-fat dairy products. Fruits and fruit juices are not consumed during this phase because they are high in sugar. Also restricted are all carbs, fatty cuts of meat, alcohol, and certain vegetables that may have high sugar content, such as carrots. The goal of this phase is to cut "bad" carbs from your diet and start the process of losing weight.

During phase two, dieters gradually reintroduce fruit, whole grains, and other formerly prohibited foods into their diet. In the process, dieters discover how to balance their diet strategies to keep a desirable weight. Once this is successfully completed, the diet transitions into the maintenance phase, in which dieters attempt to maintain the healthy habits that brought them to their goal weight.

The factor for success with the South Beach diet program is committing to healthy eating. Although that appears easy, this diet and most other diet programs fail to work because dieters give up before the plan can start to work. The challenges that most people have with weight loss often stem from deep-rooted problems such as a lack of drive to lose weight, a tendency to eat too much, or out-of-control appetite. Using an NLP tool known as Submodalities, we can guide the dieter into thinking that if he/she fails to lose weight, the children will be condemned to emulating their parent and they will be fat and unhappy. This type of belief will provide a powerful urge and feeling to stay committed to the diet and lose weight.

Several NLP techniques can help to reduce or even completely eliminate the urges and cravings that compel one to overeat. This works very effectively to help dieters stay on the first and most difficult fourteen days of the South Beach diet. It also helps dieters commit to a fitness program, which will enhance the efficacy of any diet plan.

Stress is a problem that often drives people to overeat or stop caring about their well-being, but relief is offered by both hypnosis and NLP techniques. One such tool is known as the NLP Flash.
