The British Government intends to expand fluoridated water across the UK, following the lead of the USA. This in spite of the fact that there is no creditable science to support it in protecting children's teeth.
Many Doctors and Dentists Oppose It
Pharmacologist Arvid Carlsson who won the Nobel prize said "this is against all principles of modern pharmacology. I think those nations that are using it should feel ashamed of themselves."
A statement calling for the end of fluoridation has been signed by 1,733 professionals on the fluoridealert.org website. These include 226 dentists, 219 doctors and 225 PhDs. The President of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology has added his name as well as six past presidents. It also includes the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine.
Fluoride Is Almost As Toxic As Arsenic
Why would such distinguished people oppose a public health measure? Because fluoride is highly toxic. It's more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic. Fluoride is an enzyme poison, in the same class as cyanide, capable of a very wide variety of harmful effects, even at low doses.
Because of these facts, the very prestigious Nobel Medical Institute advised Sweden not to proceed with this measure, and in France, the Pasteur Institute recommended against it in the strongest terms. It was banned in Holland and Denmark. However countries that are strongly influenced by the USA, like Britain, tamely follow their lead in wanting to add this toxin to the water supply.
How Many Health Problems Would You Like?

It Works ON the Teeth not IN the Body
Dental researchers conclude that the benefits that come from fluoride are from topical use, not systemic use. 85% of children who suffer with tooth decay have pit and fissure decay. Fluoride taken internally would not prevent this. Also, dental decay is being reduced just as quickly, if not quicker, in countries that do not fluoridate their water supply as those that do.
Fluoride & The Top Secret Cover Up
It seems strange that governments and the medical establishment would want to poison the water supply. But there's a simple reason for this.
During the second world war, vast amounts of fluoride were required in order to produce the atomic bomb. Declassified documents reveal that this was called the Manhattan Project. An area of New Jersey was blighted after a spillage of fluoride, damaging wildlife and killing crops in 1944. The farmers sued the Government and factory owners.
The Government were horrified. They were concerned about future law suits, that atomic research could be held up and that the dangers of fluoride would become common knowledge. So they had scientists carry out research into fluoride for the sole purpose of defending themselves against legal action. This research is flawed and of little scientific merit. Yet governments continue to push the idea that water fluoridation is safe and has health benefits because they can't bring themselves to come clean and tell the truth.
