Water Car Conversion Kits - Do They Even Work?!

By: Nick S Earl

Just about 3 months ago, I was really struggling to pay off the bills, a large part of that struggle was due to the massive cost of fuel these days.
My postition meant that if I continued living and commuting in the way that I was, my family would start to go heavily in to debt.
In my search for some way of supplementing my income or finding a way to cheapen the cost of fuel, I came across one of these DIY hydrogen car conversion kits. They have been available now to the general public for about a year.
Buying things over the internet is definitily not my favourite way of going about things, but I was pretty keen to see if I could get this thing to work. I did some research of course before just blindly buying the guide. I wanted to see what others where saying, and also I wanted to get the right one, as there is quite a few different guides.

I always, always research something, if I decide to break out from my old fashioned ways and actually want to invest in something over the internet. So I did some pretty thorough research on the term hydrogen conversion car kits in Google, and looked at articles, blogs and forum threads on the subject. The feedback seemed pretty good, so I felt safe about it.
I did my research, and I felt that what feedback there was, was pointing to the suggestion that these DIY guides for installing the conversion kit actually did work. People had had a positive outcome and were actually saving money on fuel because of it. So I went and got me a copy of one of the guides.
One of the reasons that I dropped my usually high guard about buying things on the internet, was that the guide came with an 8 week refund, and also really good customer service, who have helped me out considerable since getting the purchasing and using their product.
On downloading the ebook guide, I found that it was really laid out quite well, and I thought that the whole process seemed quite simple. I was pretty glad after all that, I must say.

After reading through at more detail, I found that the kit was made out of some pretty basic parts, stuff that most people could get a hold of locally with ease. Some of the parts are things like washers, and tubing which is used to connect the kit to the engine.
Most of the parts needed to create the conversion kit, are easily found at your local hardware store. In fact in my case I had a lot of tubing and valves that I could use that were already just lying around the house.
Looking at the system from the perspective of someone who is not particularly knowledgable when it comes to DIY stuff, I would have to say that on the most part the kit was pretty easy to put together. There were one or two things that I got a little bit stuck on, but the customer service was really good for the guide that I bought, and they got me through any hiccups pretty via email.

If you are going to install the water car conversion kit, you really need to spend some solid time doing it. Give yourself a full day to just focus entirely on the project and you should be able to get it done. It took me about a full day, including getting the parts and stuff, so if you have them all ready to go, you should do it easily.
At the end of the day of setting up the kit, I have to tell you that I was filthy, smelly and I had one hell of an aching back. But despite all that I was really anxious and excited to get it going and test it out. It was time to turn the ignition and see was this baby could do.

After starting her up, and giving it a few good revs, I was pretty happy to find that 1, the car was intact and had not blown up with me inside it. And 2, seemed to actually be running quite well, actually sounding really clean and healthy, and not struggling to find power or anything like that that I had feared.
I needed to take the car for a real test, and so I decided to head out to the main road and get it up to good speed. I must say that it was pretty exciting having this thing set up. It kind of added a whole new level to what is normally just driving.
The results from my little test drive, where quite impressive, the car seemed to be running just fine, in fact really good.
From using the system since then, I can say that the results still impress me. The car runs great, and I would have to say that it even runs better than it did before. In terms of my fuel costs, I am saving around 50% on fuel costs per week on average, of course that varies, depending how and where I am driving, but add that up over a year, and that is a huge saving. Exactly what I needed.

Since using the system now for three months or so, I have saved over a thousand pounds on fuel costs, the impact that this has had on my family budget has been such a godsend. Using the system throughout the next few years is literally going to save me thousands. I am just so glad that I made the choice to install it.
Not only is it fantastic to be saving all this money on fuel for my car, but I really feel that now I am contributing to helping the environment out aswell. I have never been like a massive environmental activist or anything, but it is undeniable that we need to start using other means of transport and fueling our transport if we are to keep on surviving as a race on this earth.
Another thing to think about is that the oil prices are pretty much assured to keep climbing, as we are now past our midway point for how much is left to be refined and used as fuel. This is going to make buying fuel more and more expensive and so its a great thing to have this technology available to us.
