Taking Good Care of Your Tummy

By: Hilarry Francisco

Gastrointestinal problems are sometimes the leading cause of death that struck not mostly our children but sometimes the adults. bacteria and toxins that cause infections in our stomach do not originate from the food we eat. Most of these bacteria comes from something wherein food came contact with. Kitchen tiles are the primary breeding ground of harmful bacteria. The black color suds of the tile line indicates the assembly of these harmful organisms. The improper steps of preparing our food is an opportunity of these harmful stuff to enter our intestines and make our stomach tumble and ill.

There was one time an incident wherein a grandmother bought a pair of raw chicken, this was an reported few years ago. The child noticed that when her grandmother prepared it, she doesnt used any dishes or something which the meat could be drained and stand still. She put the meat on the tiles, noticing those black suds on the tiles, she didnt complain for she thought that the chicken will be all cleaned up after it is being sliced up. Her grandmother is always good on cleaning the house, so she didn't complain on her grooming and neatness even in preparing the food. Her granda did what she thought, she washed the meat even though she laid it on the tile for half an hour. The food is all set, and they are all good to eat, describing every detail the little girl had in her mind. After the food was swooshed up,after an hour she felt something like burning inside her stomach, they all rushed her into the nearest hospital and all of their family members also experienced an uncertain bowel movement. Hospital Findings shows that they have a severe case of salmonella infection, also known as food poisoning.

When we cook our food, we especially do not prepare it inside a bathroom or living room, but naturally in the kitchen. Slicing, mincing, peeling and other types of food preparations are practiced to make the food lovely to eat. But try to think of the steps undergone to prepare the meal. Havn't you noticed that sometimes you forgot to put the meat in a clean bowl instead you put it on a kitchen tile just beside the sink?. Imagine millions of harmful bacteria that stick on the meat and when slightly cooked there is a chance that the bacteria is still there. Kitchen sink and tiles are not only the culprit in this serious gastrointestinal condition, but also the utensils used in preparing the food, such as the knife, chopping board, pestle, mortars, and other utensils that are not washed thoroughly before when they were used.

The bacteria as an organism doesnt harm you directly but the toxin that it releases makes you sick and very very ill. An example of a very harmful bacteria that causes bad conditions in the stomach is the Salmonella bacteria. This one causes typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, and foodborne illness which is simply called food poisoning. Salmonella Bacteria produces hydrogen sulfide.

So the next time you prepare your food, dont just cook it with love, but be aware of the steps in preparing so that no harm would enter your intestine. Bacteria cycle lasts for 24 hours. After this span of time, bacteria multiplies and then after that given hour it will continue and so on. Therefore the best thing to do is to clean your kitchen floors and tiles and most especially clean yourself and stomach regularly.
