The meaning of skid lid is as follows: crash helmet. This is a helmet that is worn by people that ride either motorcycles or bicycles. Even though the pith could be collapse on impact, riders still wore them they only had to be protected from a fall as far as hitting the road they were on. It is sure good that stronger materials are available these days for helmets to be made out of due to all the cars on the road also posing a threat to bikers.

Some say it is feeling one with their surroundings some say it is just a great way to relax and feel free. Many bikers join groups for the company of riding with others. As expensive as cars are why not think about a motorcycle instead? They are a lot cheaper than cars to buy but not necessarily to maintain though. With the huge amount of money that we all have to spend on gas motorcycles are quite thrifty in this area. If the prices at the gas pumps keep going to such heights maybe all of us should ride motorcycles.

The real daredevils of the motorcycle world love to do motocross. These daredevils are smart enough to know they have to be outfitted right which includes a motocross helmet or skid lid specially designed for the sport. On motocross you even have ramps that you travel on and sometimes jump and flip with. Yes I would say motocross riders absolutely positively should wear a helmet.

It is always the smart thing to do to wear your helmet to act as a shield to your head. No matter what you name them either helmet or skid lid they come is so many kinds and with different features. Most of all slip the helmet on and take off down the road.
