Popular Edible Wedding Favors

By: Emma Dawson

A favorite at many wedding receptions edible wedding favors will always please the vast majority of guests. Although it isn't important if your wedding favors are savory, most people would probably prefer a sweet option. There is something quite special about a chocolate bar that has a wrapper designed to suit the special occasion. It doesn't matter if you have milk, plain or white chocolate because all you have to do is have them filled with either nuts or raisins and they will taste great. A particularly loving touch is for there to be a message from the couple on the candy wrapper in addition to the wedding details.

If you are going as far as personalizing the wrapper, then why not have your picture printed on the wrapper to really impress your guests! Tins filled with candy are another option for brides and grooms who want to give out edible wedding favors. Guests are more likely to hold onto the tin as a keepsake if there is a reminder of where they were given it so placing the wedding details on the tin makes sense. Tins are always useful so once the candy has been eaten, it can be used to store many small items that might be lost otherwise. Candy will probably remain a favorite edible wedding favor for some time because it is so popular.

One unique way to give out candy as wedding favors is to use large glass bowls as the centerpieces for the tables and fill the bowls with the bride and grooms' favorite types of candy. You can also leave a small presentation box with details of the wedding, and one that can even match the wedding theme if there is one. You can guarantee it won't take long before the guests start filling their boxes with the candy. One edible wedding favor some couples overlook is cookies which can also be presented in a variety of ways. You can select cookies which are rather plain in nature but place them in keepsake boxes with the bride and grooms' names as well as the date of the wedding.

Another way to use cookies as wedding favors is to have them displaying a photo of the couple. As this has become more popular so has the number of bakeries able to provide this type of service and having images printed onto cookies isn't that difficult. Cocoas, teas and coffees are still another option for couples who want to give out edible wedding favors. These too can be customized to suit the occasion and if you are going to all the effort of supplying something this exclusive, why shouldn't they be customized.

Putting the couple's names as well as the wedding date on the package is a good idea as well as including a picture of the couple. If you have not found any of these suggestions appealing, there is no reason why you cannot come up with something that is completely unique for your guests!
