There is such a vast variety of dog beds on the market today that you need some help to decide which one is best for your dog. There are numerous sizes and shapes to choose from, so this guide will focus on the more popular ones and show you how to relate this to your dog.
Large dog beds and the really little dog beds are both available in the market as is the sturdy pet bed and the delicate small one. You do not have to look too far to find a pet bed shaped liked a human bed. There are sofa shaped ones, donut shaped ones, car shaped ones and many more.
You have to know which type of dog bed your dog would prefer, which one he would feel comfortable in. Once you can identify these habits in your dog then you can find a dog bed that, say, is shaped in a semi-circle, for your dog who likes to curl up by the radiator. If your dog would rather spend his nights, paws flailing all over the sofa, then you would be best buying a pet bed that is soft and large – one that looks like a big pillow. You can even find a dog bed that combine the two; an arched corner with a giant throw pillow type dog bed in it.
Whether you decide to buy a washable pet bed, or one that you remove the covers from, be sure to check that it is fire proof. It will be labeled appropriately so do not take any chances for the sake of a quick buy.
Dog Beds that you can find via the internet, catalogue, or in your local pet shop are sofa dog beds, round dog beds; which are round and flat without any high corners, rectangular dog beds; these are again level with no raised corners, reversible dog beds; which are patterned on both sides for the more opulent dog who fancies a change now and then.
There are also donut dog beds which are shaped like a round nest, and your dog can jump in the middle and sleep. Another alternative is a hooded dog bed; this has an arch which your dog may like to snuggle away under.
Last but not the least, when buying a pet bed, keep your dog always in mind. You will do fine.
