Let's Try Homemade Hair Care Products

By: Hazel Hughes

Women are usually very particular with the look of their hair because it is what people will notice straight away and they will remember someone's hair the most. That is why we want our hair to look as good as it possibly can most of the time. Most of us have drawers that are stuffed with curling irons, combs, brushes and flat irons.

Our bathrooms are where we usually put our sprays, gels, hot oil treatments, shampoos, and conditioners. Do we really use them? or Are they for the shelves decoration? If that is the case, please think again because all this stuff is not cheap. You can save money and still maintain a magnificent hair with homemade hair care products. You don't even have to buy new ingredients for homemade hair care products which you can find in your kitchen.

Shiny hair is a sign of peaceful soul and a healthy body to many of us. This is what we usually see when people are walking out of a salon. Yes you can have hair that is fresh-from-the-salon glow by using sprays and conditioners. However they are not cheap and some of them may make your hair sticky.

Do not use too much leave in sprays because they can sometimes weigh down your hair. Do not use too much of shine enhancing sprays because they can make your hair look oily and unwashed. However there are a few homemade hair care products that can make and help restore your hair natural shine.

Using Beer

The homemade hair care product that has been historically used to add shine to a person's hair is beer. Beer is so effective at making hair shiny that several of the best hair care company's include it in the shampoos and conditioners that are later sold at salons. To avoid the strong beer odor the hair care companies did some research and found that it wasn't so much the beer itself that made hair shiny, but rather that the key was the hops (a beer ingredient) that added the glow.

Using Tea

Tea is a delicious drink but not many of us know what it can do to our hair. If beer is not your choice to use for shining your hair, then you should try tea. It has been a successful handmade hair remedy that adds shine. I am not asking you to simply setting a tea bag on your scalp because it won't work that way. What you need to do is boil the water then let the teabag time to seep, when the homemade hair care product has had enough time to cool just pour it over your hair.

Espresso For Shiny hair

Can't tolerate the smell of beer? Not a tea drinker? What about espresso? If you rely on a cup of espresso to give you a jolt in the morning simply brew an extra cup of this caffeine rich drink (try to make it extra strong) and pour it over your head. To achieve the shiniest results pour the espresso on dry hair. 20 minutes after putting it on your head, rinse it off.
