What are the reasons for owning leather pants? Perfectly shaped and toned individuals will make that choice because such form fitting outfits show off all that hard work. However, for the rest of us, leather pants may still be a good option. Such clothes are long lasting, durable and protect the wearer well from the elements. Considering the role it played when the animal was alive, this is not surprising.
Protection is not a high priority when it comes to high fashion leather pants as many of them seem intent on encouraging someone to want to take them off! The soft leathers not only look great and cling to curves they also have an earthy natural scent which many people find to be attractive and even erotic. Think about how much the smell of leather seats add to the 'new car' feeling, so much so that some dealers simulate the smell by spraying leather scents in their cars.
Sturdy clothes can provide excellent protection. A favorite material is leather. Historically, many groups of people have harnessed leather for its superb protective abilities. Native Americans used leather for making pants, shirts, and other clothing. Cowboys of yesterday and today wear special pants called chaps to protect them from prickly plants and burrs. It is often the material of choice for protection from natural elements.
Leather pants and jackets are worn by almost all motorcyclists to protect their skin. Riders are always at risk of falling off their motorcycles and the resultant scrapes can be very painful. Wearing leather is also a good way to prevent "road rash", which is not only painful, but is unsightly and may cause scarring.
Those who ride motorcycles or who are considering getting one really should invest in leather protective gear. It's not just useful as protection; it can still be very fashionable and look great. Modern makers of leather pants care about style as much as about the safety issue and make great garments for women and for men as well.
Stores that sell two wheelers are often likely to also offer leather clothing and other protective apparel such as helmets, gloves, and goggles. If they do not sell these items, more than likely they can recommend a store that does. You can also find used leathers at bargain prices in thrift shops and in online auctions.

Do you know who wears leather pants? Do you know why? The answer could just be someone who likes to be fashionable and who has the legs and hips to show off in a pair of snug leathers. Many of these pants are so hot that one would like to strip them off. Soft leathers stick on the body, revealing curves and looking beautiful.
