High School Diplomas: Proof of Maturity

Graduation from high school is a high point of many students' lives. In this graduation rite, which is witnessed by the entire school, a diploma is given. This certifies that the student has finished secondary education or high school. as it is called.

Though details in appearances may differ, schools usually have the same basic design for each diploma. The name of the educational institution is alway seen in the diploma. Other schools include their logos, some next to the school name or watermarked on the background. All these are important in determining where the student graduated from and in giving the diploma the look of an original one.

The name of the graduate is written on the diploma with the words: "Has completed the course of study, prescribed by the Board of Education for the High school and is therefore entitled to this Diploma." with it. The signatures of the school's president and principal as well as the date are all included to give the diploma the validity it needs.

Receiving a diploma is popular for being one of the biggest rites of passage in a person's life. This means that a student has successfully completed the basic education required by the government for the youth. This is usually given during the graduation ceremony where the student's name is called out and he or she walks onto the stage to receive the diploma.

A lot of countries and companies require people to get a high school degree as a prerequisite for hiring. Countries such as the United States and Canada considers a high school diploma as the basic requirement before employment, especially in higher paying jobs.
