Those of us who came of age before the plastic surgery boom remember grandma as a little old lady with gray hair, all wrinkled, varicose veined, dentured and otherwise visibly affected by the forces of gravity. Not anymore! The American ideal of "aging gracefully" has nearly become "aging backwards." In an age where it has been said 50 is the new 30, it's no wonder the grandmas of today look nothing like the grandmas from 50 years ago. Without a doubt, the biggest factor is that the anti-aging tricks of 50 years ago have dramatically improved. Los Angeles plastic surgery has become so popular in the recent years, that it's almost shocking to come across someone who hasn't had some type of cosmetic procedure done.

Nowadays it's harder to get away with wrinkles. You are almost expected to smooth those lines away with a little Los Angeles Botox. Age spots and skin imperfections are easily zapped away with lasers or a good chemical peel. Got sagging breasts? No, no, no, no, no. When a good support bra used to do the trick, now a Los Angeles breast lift is the acceptable procedure. While there used to be only facelifts, a woman's neck usually could tell her true age. Now, minimally invasive procedures such as Vaser LipoSelection, SmartLipo and Botox Cosmetic have made it easy to turn back the clock. Trips to a Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon are just part of the routine in general health and beauty upkeep for many local women. The golden days of little old wrinkly ladies baking pies in the kitchen are over. We won't even be able to tell the grandmas from the average middle-aged woman anymore.
