Generic Levitra Vs. Other ED Drugs

By: IC

If you suffer from an erectile dysfunction you will be glad to know that there are many drugs on the market that can effectively treat this problem. While it may be a bit embarrassing to go to the doctor and talk about this problem, it can be treated very easily. There is a whole class of drugs out there that can allow you to start enjoying sex again, and even take your self esteem back. Some of the drugs that are available include Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis. Levitra is one of the drugs that do stand out in this class of very popular drugs.

Viagra is quite possibly one of the best known ED medications on the market. Most men take this drug once a day and it will begin working in about 30 minutes and will work for about four hours. Doctors can prescribe this medication in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg quantities and has proven quite effective for a lot of men. There are some side effects that occur with Viagra and these include headaches, dyspepsia, sneezing, flushing, dizziness, heart palpitations, and photophobia. There are some more serious side effects that include stroke, low blood pressure, heart attacks, priapism, and in rare instances death. There are rare reports that Viagra may also be responsible for blinding some individuals. In addition to all of the side effects, another negative about this drug is the cost. Each pill costs about $10, though there are some generic versions available.

Cialis is another of the well known erectile dysfunction treatments on the market today. The drug is a very potent PDE5 inhibitor and it has a great track record in helping men to overcome their ED. The drug is very strong, for instance a man who takes 100mg of Viagra would take just 20mg of Cialis. Cialis also has a wide range of side effects that may include back pain, indigestion, and flushing. Luckily, most of these side effects fade after a few days, though vision changes have been associated with the drug. One great benefit of this drug is that it lasts for up to 36 hours instead of the four that Viagra boasts. Cialis’s downfall is that it costs a whopping $22 a pill! There are generic versions of Cialis as well.

Levitra is another very potent drug and is offered in 2.5mg, 10mg, and 20mg units. Levitra has become known as the “little orange pill” and has side effects that include back pain, nausea, eye pain, photosensitivity, vision changes, heart palpitations, and high blood pressure. Many men like the fact that Levitra is effective for up to 20 hours and is generally much more affordable than Viagra and Cialis. Levitra is becoming more and more popular as many realize how long it lasts and that it is quite affordable when compared with other ED drugs.
