Front Sight Says: U.S. Supreme Court, Don't Take Our Guns!

By: Jayden Adams

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the nation's largest firearms training academy. Every year, Front Sight delivers gun training to more students than all other major shooting schools in America combined. As one can imagine, to a firearms training institute as large as that, the words of the Second Amendment are very well known.

The Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America reads, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." This is quite explicit. A student of the Constitution will tell you that there is no mincing of words when it comes to the Constitution. The Framers put into the Constitution precisely what they meant to, and left nothing out which they knew should have been in.

So what did the Framers mean when they wrote the Second Amendment? According to Front Sight, they meant that the federal government must never be able or allowed to disarm its populace. Ignatius Piazza says the same thing. And who is this Ignatius Piazza? Ignatius Piazza is one of the most certified, accredited, highly trained firearms training experts on the planet. Ignatius Piazza is a Four Weapons Combat Master, one of the most difficult gun training certifications to achieve. Ignatius Piazza is also the founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute.

Obviously in a position of authority and command, Ignatius Piazza has a few things to say about the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court ruling and the ramifications for the Second Amendment rights of citizens in this country. Firearms and firearms training and guns and gun training are an integral part of this nation. Study of the Federalist Papers, documents written by many of the Framers while the Constitution was being written, which embodied the life force and drive of colonial America, shows that all of the Framers, Federalists and Anti-Federalists (two parties of the original founders, not entirely unlike our Republicans and Democrats today) alike, felt that the government must never have the ability to disarm its people.

And to men like Ignatius Piazza and students of Front Sight, it's obvious why - along with anyone else who's fairly intelligent. The Framers had just gotten finished with a long, tumultuous war with a government in England that they felt was corrupt and unjust. If it had not been in their power to have firearms, know how to use them and use them, they would never have been free of taxation without representation or unjust government or tyranny.

So one can see why Ignatius Piazza and all of Front Sight are so proud of their pedigree in the gun training industry: our very country was founded on the principles of firearms training and responsible gun use - precisely what Front Sight Firearms Training Institute stands for. So when the U.S. Supreme Court says that it won't rule on the case which has such huge Second Amendment rights ramifications, Ignatius Piazza asks what the hurry is. The Second Amendment is quite explicit, and the U.S. Supreme Court had better understand that.
