Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the nation's largest, most successful gun training school. Every year, Front Sight trains more students in firearms training than all other major shooting schools in the country combined. The founder and director of Front Sight, Ignatius Piazza, is a Four Weapons Combat Master, one of the most prestigious, difficult-to-attain weapons certifications in the entire gun training industry. In the last several days, Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza have had their eyes on the U.S. Supreme Court which will soon be deciding on a case which could have huge ramifications on the firearms training industry.
Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza are watching carefully the case which the U.S. Supreme Court has accepted for its consideration, District of Columbia vs. Heller. After the District of Columbia passed a law banning handguns, Heller attempted to test the ban by registering a pistol he owned in police capacity. He then brought suit against the District of Columbia, challenging the constitutionality of the ban.
Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza, obviously strong supporters of gun rights, are in support of Heller and the case. Front Sight has encouraged the Supreme Court and others to realize the importance of this case for determining the future constitutionality of firearms restrictions.
Firearms laws are of utmost importance to this country. The people must be made to understand that gun ownership is one of the most fundamental points of not only liberty, but also responsibility and citizenship. Front Sight, under the guidance of Ignatius Piazza, trains thousands of new and returning students every year in proper, effective firearms use. At Front Sight, firearms training is more than just learning how to hit a target, it's knowing how to hold a gun, how to transport a gun, how to aim a gun, shoot a gun, identify a target as friendly or hostile, learn the importance of knowing when to shoot, and knowing how to successfully take down a target only when absolutely necessary.
Ask any instructor at Front Sight or Ignatius Piazza himself, or any of the students who attend Front Sight, and they'll tell you that gun ownership, gun use and gun training should be part and parcel with citizenship. Ignatius Piazza formed Front Sight because he wanted to see American learn to use firearms safely, effectively and responsibly, precisely what he thinks an American citizen should be: safe, effective and responsible.
The Second Amendment is quite explicit, not only in Ignatius Piazza's eyes, but also in its objective language. This is certainly not unknown to the U.S. Supreme Court and therefore all intelligent conjecture is that the Court will be ruling that the ban is unconstitutional, considering its language which strictly prohibits gun ownership in one's own home - precisely what the Constitution allows for.
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the number one place for firearms training in America. Ignatius Piazza founded Front Sight and made it into the number one place for gun training in the nation. Both Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza are firmly behind Mr. Heller in his attempt to secure his right, and the citizens of this nation's rights, to bear firearms, as the Constitution set out. With this monumental decision gearing to be made in the Supreme Court, Front Sight encourages all Americans to make themselves aware of the situation.
