If you are into extreme sports, skydiving is about as extreme as it gets. An extreme skydiving adventure would be a thrill of a lifetime. There are only a few of you out there with the nerves to leap from a plane falling at about a hundred miles an hour. If the plane were at an altitude of fifteen thousand feet you would be in that free fall for a distance of almost twelve thousand feet before your trusty chute would open and drop you safely to the ground.
There is more than just nerves required to jump from the plane there is also a lot of training and preparation involved. Skydiving lessons are a must. It is adamant that you to know as much as possible about the plane, the equipment, landing techniques, etc. Certification can be earned in just a few sessions.
Be sure to pay careful attention during your classes and ask any questions about anything you are not totally clear on. There is literally nothing unimportant covered in skydiving lessons. Don't worry about sounding silly in class, everyone was new at this at one time, even the instructor. You will learn hand signals to communicate while in the air, how to operate your equipment, all the necessary information will be covered in your skydiving lessons. Again, and this cannot be stressed enough, pay attention and ask lots of questions.
One mistake or a piece of faulty equipment can prove fatal. Be sure that you know your pilot, you are familiar with the type of aircraft, all your equipment is in excellent condition, and you have learned all there is to know before taking a jump.
Extreme skydiving can be an unparalleled thrill, but without proper preparation is hazardous. With the required number (or more, never do a real dive until you feel ready) of skydiving lessons under your belt, you will be perfectly ready to experience the unmatched exhilaration that skydiving, and especially extreme skydiving have to offer.
The equipment used is as important as the classes you have taken. Your survival will be determined on the parachute as well as the operator.
Finding a well trained instructor, quality gear and experienced pilot are all key to a successful jump. Check references, read resumes, and test the gear and all your landings will be happy landings.
