There are certain figures through history that grow in stature as the years pass and their words are reflected upon. The beauty of the Dali Lama is he is still with us today and continues to impart wisdom daily.

11. We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.
12. In the practice of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher.
13. For those who may not find happiness to exercise religious faith, it's okay to remain a radical atheist, it's absolutely an individual right, but the important thing is with a compassionate heart then no problem.
14. Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.
15. Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.
The real beauty of the Dali Lama is the fact his views are acceptable to all religions. They also take into account the nature of daily life in this modern world. If even one quote above makes you think, then he has accomplished his goal.
