There are an awful lot of issues we wrestle with each day. In the great prioritization that is our daily lives, something as simple as dog food comparison-shopping, will generally not rank very high. This unfortunately doesn't mean a lot to our short family friends, and we being the recipients of the great joy they bring to our lives, should pause once in while and review the choices we make for them.
Some dog food brands can be better for your pet than other brands. We want our family friend to be with us, at least for a typical dog's lifetime. You can feed your pet a brand of food that really isn't all that good for them. While outwardly they appear happy every day, and probably are, illnesses such as kidney problems are not often detected until the end stages when it's too late to anything about it.
Label reading and big shopping decisions, while lived for by some, can be the slow boring death of us others. Many of us simply don't know enough about nutrition and dog food allergies to make a proper dog food comparison. Many times we just pick the one with the happiest dog on the label, assuming that will be our pets subsequent joy from eating said food.
There is a wealth of information out there for different breed and sizes. It is certain that what is great for on pet may not be the same for the next. Deciding how does your dog food brand compare, is abut finding out your dogs needs. Just take your time and remember to factor in your dogs weight and age into his dietary regime.
It isn't all about nutrition of course. A happy dog is one who is definitely part of the family. In other words you show affection and spend some time with Fido. A good walk never hurts. You'll probably find your dog comes to expect it after awhile but remember it's good for you too. Beagles love to sniff of everything sniffable on a walk and border collies never tire of chasing a ball that is kicked. A good balance of proper diet, play, and attention makes for a happy dog.
Whatever effort you put into your pet's well being is paid in full just watching them go about their daily business. Dogs spend a certain about of time every day conserving energy, i.e. sleeping. Then their off attending to many necessary chores, lots of places to go things to explore and goodies to sample, if we let them.
So when you get right down to it, figuring our what your dog needs really isn't all that hard. It's just that we often haven't made the effort, feeling it would be too much work or we wouldn't know where to start. Read the labels again. Where was the food made and what's in it? Is there any ingredient that your pet has an allergic reaction too? Soon you'll have a pretty good idea of which brand seems best suited for your pet.
With your questions answered I think you're ready to go shopping. First look at and enjoy all the happy dogs on the labels, and then go find the one you have researched. After that buy some nice big bones cause dogs, having put up with the worst of us, deserve the best. Then go play!
