So, here is a funny story about a bachelorette party that I went to recently. The bride's maid of honor was in charge, and she had done a lovely job putting the party together.
She had the decorations done beautifully, all of the friends of the bride to be were invited, and there were a lot of great bachelorette games. And yet there was one game that turned out to be not such a good idea.
The maid of honor thought it would be a funny idea to for everyone to drink margaritas during this game, and if you didn't want to answer a question, you had to finish off your drink. That didn't seem like a bad idea at first.
After all, it was a group of us girls, and what girl doesn't like trading funny stories and gossiping? But halfway through, some of the questions that were going around had somehow transformed the whole place into something like an AA meeting. Rather than moving on to the other bachelorette games, the girls were stuck on this one.
Some of them ended up spilling their guts about their husbands or boyfriends while sobbing. What started as funny stories about the guys ended up being a contest as to who had the worst guy!
Others were consoling the sobbing ones before launching into their own stories, and by the end of the game a couple of the girls were ready to pass out amongst the gorgeous party decorations. This is one of those bachelorette games gone wrong.
I saw back and watched it all in horror, since I remained one of the few sober ones. I remember thinking as I got ready to leave, "I wonder if there's still going to be a wedding?
