After leading his life as an engineer with a passion for sculpting, Jim Shore created his company, Designs American, which would catapult him into one of the nations top collectibles designers. Jim Shore has received various awards since 2002. He has been named Artist of the Year three consecutive years from 2003 to 2005. His artistic designs have also won Jim the 2002 Rising Star award, the 2003, as well as 2005 Christmas Collectible of the Year award, and in both 2004, as well as 2005 he won the Christmas Dcor of the Year award.
