Looking for your Soul Mate?
So many women hope to find their soul mate, the man of their dreams, Mr. Right, whatever you want to call him. Why do some women seem to have all the luck while the rest of the women of the world get stuck single or in a mediocre relationship? Is it really fate? Does it take seeing a psychic or some other mystical specialist? Absolutely not.
The determining factor of whether or not you find your soul mate is you. It is your choice. If you haven't found him yet, you are probably doing at least one of the three following things, and it's standing in your way of finding him.
Let go of your boyfriend if he's Mr. Wrong.
Are you holding on to your current relationship only until something better comes along? This strategy makes emotional sense, as it keeps you from being alone. However, staying coupled up greatly reduces the chance of a better guy taking you seriously as a romantic prospect.
Decide today if your boyfriend is truly soul mate material for you. If he is not, be strong, let go, and enjoy the benefits of being single. You may find your soul mate tomorrow, or it may take much longer. But, by being single, you have greatly increased your chances of him taking you seriously as something more than a friend.
Follow your dreams today.
Maybe you've always dreamed of doing certain things with your soul mate at your side. Things like buying your first house, getting your advanced degree, or taking a trip to Hawaii. While it might be more fun to do those things together, why stop progressing just because you're still single?
Stopping and waiting will only make you depressed or a less desirable prospect. Moving forward with your personal dreams will better you as a person and make you a more attractive partner when you soul mate does enter the scene.
Discover your real needs.
Do you have an idea what you want in a soul mate? Most people do. However, do you know what you need? Sometimes we get what we wanted, only to feel unsatisfied. This happens when our underlying need is still unmet. For example, you may want a guy who belongs to your same religion and goes to church every Sunday. However, you're underlying need might be to find someone who has the same spiritual depth as you do. Can you see how you could find a guy who goes to church regularly, but has no deep spiritual foundation?
You got what you wanted, but was it what you needed? Take time to figure out why you want what you do in a soul mate. Address your underlying needs you discover, and you'll find yourself snuggling up to Mr. Right next time.
Remember, looking for your soul mate means continually progressing and understanding yourself in your own life and realizing that fate has little to do with finding him. Begin today by letting go, moving ahead and understanding your needs. You'll be happy that you did, whether you find him tomorrow or somewhere in the more distant future.
